Lost all audio after May, 2021 Windows 10 update!!!!

At some point, after the May update I lost all PC audio! I've done all the 'no sound' troubleshooting suggestions from Microsoft and everywhere else. I reinstalled all audio drivers, you name it. I even shut down my MSI onboard HD audio in bios and purchased a

Soundblaster Audigy RX sound card, No dice. bought Driver Booster Pro and updated them drivers. Wasted cash!

It's as if the sound just can't get to my output jacks. Foobar doesn't work, NO audio!! You can see the level meters pulse when you test the sound devices. When I unplug the connectors going to my preamp, they pop and buzz so I know the cables to the analog stuff are hot.

I NEED HELP AND I NEED IT FAST!! I'm starting to TWITCH!! I believe it's Microsoft's doing.

After try everything... now, SOLVED MY PROBLEM!!!!

Here is the trick:

1) cmd.exe --> regedit

2) Go to: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class

3) Search for: {4d36e96c-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}

4) Find the entry that has a key: Class MEDIA

5) DO A BACKUP for that register.

6) Delete the key: Upperfilters ksthunk

7) Reboot

8) If you haven't change anything on audio drivers (trying to fix by audio drivers early), the sound will now works.

Hope its helps!!

Regards

I tried that. The entry didn't exist.

And I tried the .REG import. That didn't work.

What worked was reverting to the earlier version of Windows.
