- Does this issue occur on other devices like your mobile phone?
- Does this issue occur with other Hotmail accounts that are being accessed on your computer?
- Did you make any significant hardware or software changes on your computer prior to this issue?
To isolate your issue, please verify if the problem happens when using a different browser. Log-in issue may occur due to a browser problem. We recommend that you upgrade to the latest version of your browser. You can also optimize your browser by following

I don't use a mobile phone. I haven't made any significant hardware or software changes other than the usual updates from Mac. These have never presented a problem before. I have tried on two browsers with the same results.I have the most recent versions of Safari and Chrome. I recently read were there is a change being made from Hotmail to Outlook. Could that have any effect on my inability to sign in? FYI tonight it took 14 tries before I was able to sign in.

Afternoon,
I am using the Outlook.com/Hotmail.com version. Both of my browsers are updated and meet the required versions. Again today I was unable to sign in this morning and it took me over a dozen attempts to sign in. I have tried googling Hotmail and signing in that way. I've tried signing in through my outlook account page and get the same results. Nothing. Finally I made the sign in. I know once I send this email I won't likely be able to stay connected and will have to go thru the process again. It's frustrating. I don't get an error message until I have attempted 6 or 8 sign ins. The message is "Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now. Please try later" in red font.

I am having the same problem with my iMac, cannot sign in to Hotmail??? The blue progress line stops and it does not sign in. Like the other person, sometimes it works? I can sign in no problem with my laptop which uses windows but not with the iMac? Please Microsoft address this issue once and for all, it is not normal that so many people are having the same issue with their Mac's. We need a fix!
