Windows 8 Pro 64bit upgrade and the C1900101-40017 and 0xC1900101-0x40017 error messages solution.
The C1900101-40017 error message...
I had the same problem as many others on this Forum so I can appreciate the frustration many people are experiencing right now. After 8 unsuccessful attempts through the recommended update routes, this being via the Windows icon in the System Tray and Windows
Update all I got back in return was the
C1900101-40017 error. I was about to give in and wait for Microsoft to release driver updates based on peoples failed attempts to resolve the known issues...
The 0xC1900101-0x40017 error message...
I then tried going to the Download Tool Now 32-bit or 64-bit version,
found by visiting....
https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10
When taking this route to upgrade AND keeping all existing files intact this also failed and gave me a slightly different error message...
0xC1900101-0x40017.
Both of these routes resulted in reaching 100% drivers installation but never got beyond 75% total. Despite uninstalling and updating various drivers and software including turning off all security software and updating graphics card drivers in never worked.
THE SOLUTION
My patience was finally rewarded by going back to the following link on the Microsoft website again... https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10
This time I decided to upgrade WITHOUT keeping any previous files all folders. As I had already imaged/backed up my computer I had nothing to lose and it finally worked. Remember to update all drivers afterward and install all windows updates.
OUTLOOK 2013 and Blueyonder (Cannot send emails problem)
'Right click' on the Windows icon bottom left of screen then select Command Prompt (Admin) then enter the following text and press enter, doing this will resolve the problem... sfc /scannow
