Hello,
I had multiple WordPad documents open yesterday which were unsaved. Opened my laptop today to see that Windows 10 had automatically updated and restarted in the meantime. Now in the past Windows would restore all unsaved WordPad documents as "document (recovered)" after an update but this time it only restored one document and multiple blank ones.
Question: where does Windows store/autosave WordPad documents to recover them in case of an update/crash? What file extensions do they have?
The answer to the first question is especially valuable since I want to use data recovery software to see if I can find something but don't know where to look. Have scoured half the internet but couldn't find information regarding the location.
If any additional infos are needed I'm happy to clarify.
Best,
Alicia
