ActiveSync don't sync events created with Outlook with external server

Hello,
I would like to report a bug on the last Outlook version with activesync.

Context: SOGo is an open source webmail that support active sync. When using Outlook for a sogo account using activesync, we notice some error with events on Outlook.

Error: When creating an event on outlook, this event will never synchronize with the webmail sogo. Events created from sogo webmail are okay and correctly synchronized with outlook.


Version: Happens since version 2401 Build 17231.20182, last tested with Version 2403 Build 16.0.17425.20124. Last version to work was version 2312 Build 17126.20132

When creating an event with Outlook, the synchronization will appear to be done as no error message pop up, but it’s not the case. When enabling the log, I could see this error:

I assume this error fails the synchronization of the new event.

On SOGo side, no errors are shown and it never receives the request with the new event.

I’ve the complete eas log beofre and after this error, but I can't see a way to attached files here.

Hello Simbarashe,

Would you know how to get Microsoft's attention on this bug? There have been 12+ releases since this was logged in February, and as of the current release (July 9 - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdates/update-history-microsoft365-apps-by-date), its still not resolved.

Many folks on this thread and others are patiently waiting for a fix.

Thanks for finding the error Hivert! I have been wrestling with this for almost a year, since I got my new PC, and did a fresh install of iRedmail on Rocky Linus 9. I assumed it was iRedMail (or SOGo), causing the problem. I am running Outlook 2021 version 2410.

I still cannot create a calendar event from Outlook to push to SOGo. It updates Outlook if I create the event on my phone or SOGo web page. All emails work from Outlook, it only seems to be the calendar.

I am happy to discover others have run into this problem. Now we get to wait for MS to fix this. I know I am not running Outlook server, as I am a very small company and cannot afford it. But I did pay for Outlook, and am saddened this is not an issue they wish to fix.

Same problem here. Version 2412. This has caused some calendar confusion and ball dropping after an event changed. Please MS. Help!
