Hey all, I'm having the same problem as in this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqtOlgCG1xI
Running Windows 7 64bit, and got an original xbox controller.
It works PERFECTLY fine on the xbox, but just keeps disconnecting on PC.
Things I've done:
- New batteries
- Hooked up play&charge too
- Went to process tab in task manager and made xboxstat.exe a high priority
- Looked at energy saving stuff in device manager
- Ran as administrator
- Disabled bluetooth
I hope someone can help me, dying to get this to work

64bit may require specific drivers to be installed in order for the device to work.

Hey Kath, sorry to hear about this issue! Okay, have you tried multiple USB ports on your PC? If so, have you had a chance to try a different PC or computer, to see if the same issue occurs then?

I had a similar problem and it seems to have been solved by plugging the receiver into a different USB port. Having said that, the problem with mine was that the receiver itself kept disconnecting rather than just the gamepad.
Make sure the port you're using is a USB2 port (although it has trouble in USB3 ports, oddly enough...)
