Always include PC Specs, Make and Model of the device. Ensure all the latest quality updates have been installed. It may take multiple replies to reach a satisfactory answer.

I had tried several previous manual installs and they all failed.  I did one more per your instructions and it too failed.  The Windows Update Assistant manual install did work however.  It stuck at 99% and I let it sit for 4 hours. The c:\$GetCurrent did not work in File Explorer, but when I restarted the computer anyway the update went through and installed.

Problem is solved.  Thank you.

How can Windows be this bad? How can you get the highest paid software engineers in the world to produce a operating system that limps into each day?

I got the a similar problem. But i got every (exactly) 10min a bluescreen with the error system_service_exception.
I read, I must install the previous SSU (KB4528759) that I can install the new Update (KB4528760). So I tried, but I alredy got the SSU. And I still can not install the new Update.
And I tried almost everything from the Windows support website. The things what you have to do whene your update not works, you know. (Except ‚reinstall Windows‘. But there worked nothing either.

Maybe some of you got the same problem...

Does anyone of you have an idea?

Or at least hoe I get rid of the bluescreen...?
