How do I fix error code 0x80070643 for windows 10

Hi, Whenever I try to install my windows 10 updates I get this error code 0x80070643. Can someone help me with this  problem? I will appreciate any hep that I get.....Thanks in advance..... Dated Jan.22,2017

Hi again, unfortunately I am still getting the same error code: 0x80070643 whenever I  try to run  windows update.... Do any one have any suggestion that I can use? I do appreciate any help that someone can offer.

Hi Ziggy,

To verify, have you tried running the DISM (Deployment Image Servicing and Management) command, and SFC (System File Checker) tool? Did you get any error messages?

If you have done all the steps on the link provided by the previous moderator, and the issue still persists, we may need to reset or reinstall Windows. See Recovery options in Windows 10.

I had this issue with 16199->16215 and did the following to go to 16226 instead:

1) Opened Services.

2) Stopped Background Intelligent Transfer Service.

3) Stopped Windows Update.

4) Opened Explorer.

5) Deleted contents of c:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download.

Upgrade completed successfully.
