As I understand you are unable to find windows updates or to check for Windows updates since May on windows 7 and getting an error code: 80245001. You have tried all the steps provided online including hotfix, still you are unable to fix the issue. Am sorry
to hear that you have windows updates issue since May and I appreciate your efforts towards fixing the issue.
It could occur due to any of the following reasons:
- Software issue
- Virus
- Third party anti-virus might be blocking the updates.
In order to understand the issue, I may need some more info:
1. What is the make and model of your computer?
2. Did you make any changes prior to this issue?
3. Which hotfix did you run on the computer? And what and all troubleshooting steps have you tried?
4. Have you installed any third party security software?
5. When do get the above error, while checking for updates or while installing updates?
You can try the below methods:
Method 1:
Run the Windows Update Troubleshooter. It will help to find and fix update issues automatically.
It is for windows 7 also.

Click on Run and then click on open and follow the instructions.
OR
Run the Inbuilt Windows Troubleshooter.
Go to Control Panel\Troubleshooting\System And Security
and select Windows Update and follow accordingly.
Method 2:
You can try reset windows update component manually: It rebuilds windows updates.
