On my iPhone 6, I can create a new calendar event in Outlook and enter a physical address location which will take me to map directions when selected on the day I am navigating there. For example my doctor's office. I just moved to a Samsung. When I selection the location of an older appointment, Google Maps opens. When I try to create a new calendar event such as going to a movie, when I try to enter the address in the location field, Google maps no longer opens. How can this feature work on an old iPhone 6 and not on a newer Samsung Galaxy? What am I doing wrong? I did not need java or specify a room on my iPhone 6.

Hello, Della O'Malley K9
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
Are the default map apps on your iPhone and on Samsung Galaxy both Google Maps? I tried on both iOS and Android devices and found that some locations, although not every location, which show up in maps on Outlook iOS (where the default map is not Google Maps), won't be displayed in maps on Outlook Android (where the default map is Google Maps). So, you can download the same map app on your Samsung Galaxy as on your iPhone, set it as the default map app, and try again. Of course, it is recommended to download the map app from Google Play.
Or, you can try other addresses that can be recognized by Google Maps.
Feel free to let me know if you have any other concerns.
Best regards
Yuhao Li

I have a similar problem in that I enter an address on an Outlook appointment but it won't let me touch the address to take me to any map(would prefer Google maps), when I touch it, the location is hilited in a light blue color with both ends rounded, I can't select and copy to paste in google map app and if I backspace it deletes the address, it used to work by touching the address to take to a map but has quit working on my iPhone 11

Exactly can’t copy it or modify it, I can only delete it and start over, not smart. But it used to work better up to about a year ago, when I would put address in, I could touch address and it would take me to google maps location which would give me directions. Sounds like a fight between Google/Apple Maps and Microsoft
