Windows 10 Superfetch

Superfetch was designed to adapt to your PC usage to assist with faster application loading and faster boot times, although, in later versions of Windows it has been found that it causes the disk usage to increase severely.  I just recently ran into this issue with my wife's PC and had to stop superfetch. Once I did that, the disk usage went from 100% down to nearly nothing. If you are still having issues with this, here is how to stop it:

open cmd as admin > net.exe stop superfetch > Enter

With task manager opened in parallel, you will see your disk usage drop almost instantly.  So far I have not seen any downsides to stopping this and if you have read about it online, most claim it will slow your PC down if stopped.

Better than CMD line
1) Click on windows search icon on the start menu and bring up the search box
2) enter "services" in search box
3) click on Services desk top app
4) in the Services app scroll down to the Superfetch entry
5) left click on it and it should bring up the properties box
6) change Startup type: to "manual"

7) optional, stop the service

Note: I believe one has to had admin privilege to do this.

Dear, that mean superfetch have to be stopped, but when I stopped services after any update services turned on. And after updates I have to check this servis.

This is my problem. I will try to put servis in manual.
