Win 2010/Word 2010 fonts

Hello:

I have reinstalled Windows 7 Ultimate, and my Office 2010 Home and Student (the latter from an MS page). Now, I am missing a lot of fonts that I had before. I have no memory of downloading and installing non-standard fonts before, but if Idid, they wer free and probably provided by MS.

I have seen this discussed a lot, without resolve, and when I chatted with an MS rep, this person had no idea how to resolve this.

There must be an explanation. Where is, for instance Rockwell Extra Bold?

Kindly, anyone, please.

Answer

According to Microsoft's typography information, Rockwell Extra Bold is included in Office 2010, so you should have it. If you know of other fonts you can't find, start at http://www.microsoft.com/typography/fonts/ to see whether they're distributed with your versions of Windows or Office.

In the installer for Office 2010 (run from Control Panel > Programs and Features), if you choose the Add or Remove Features option, you'll be shown all the component parts that can be included or excluded. Expand the Office Shared Features icon and make sure the Fonts feature is set to "Run from My Computer"
