OneNote "Ink to Text" function is grayed out on Office 2016.

I want to convert handwriting to text on my PC, but this function is grayed out. Will this option work if I upgrade to Office 2018?
Hi Alex, are you using the Office 2016 version of OneNote or the OneNote App?

Microsoft has dropped support for the Desktop version of OneNote in favor of the App version for Windows 10 and that has been removed form the Office 365 and Office 2019 download . . .

Check this link for downloading OneNote 2016, it should work with your version of Office

I downloaded the OneNote 2016 file using the link provided in this email and installed it, but I'm still having the same problem. The "Ink to Text' function is still greyed out.

Should I have Uninstalled the previous version first?

What else can I do to fix this problem?
