STATUS_INVALID_IMAGE_HASH happens when security features block unexpected code from running in the same process as websites. Unfortunately, that code comes from sources outside of Microsoft Edge, and though mechanisms that Microsoft Edge cannot block.
When this happens, the process is terminated and produces a STATUS_INVALID_IMAGE_HASH error.
The most common cause of this error is security/antivirus software that requires an update. For instance, Symantec Endpoint Protection versions before 14.2 are known to trigger this problem. Start by updating any security/antivirus software you have to
the latest version.
If updating your security/antivirus software to the latest version does not resolve this issue, check out this step by step guide written by Eric Lawrence, one of Microsoft Edge's Principal Program Managers:

If you’re still seeing the STATUS_INVALID_IMAGE_HASH error after following the guide above, please reach out to your administrator or contact support via
