Can't log in my Skype-Account on Android Mobile, but in Windows 10 on my Notebook I can.

Hi, everybody.

Recently I changed my Skype Password and the procedure went well.

On my notebook with Windows 10 I can login into Skype without problems,

but on my Android Mobile I can't. On trying the login Skype accepts the username, but when I send the password, Skype doesn't recognize the password. What Skype does is asking again for the password, again and again.

I already uninstalled Skype and installed it again on my phone, but it's always the same.

Somebody already experienced something similar and can me give an advice?

To further check this, please provide the exact Skype and Android version that you're using.

You may refer to the following links and steps to identify what is the Skype version that you're using:

Have you also tried clearing Skype's cache and data?

If you haven't, please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to your phone settings.
  2. Tap Applications Manager/Apps.
  3. Locate Skype and tap it.
  4. Then tap Clear data and cache.
  5. Restart your phone and re-launch Skype.

Hi,

I also have the same situation with skype on my phone. I changed the password last night, and am able to use skype through my computer. 

However, on my phone it will not let me sign in. It keeps making me put in the password.

I have followed your steps, and am still having problems signing in.

Like Majsalaz4 (see his/her reply to your answer) I've tried every step before, and nothing resolved the problem.
But on the day of your reply my phone received an update for Skype from prior version to "version 8.15.0.152-release". Well, that resolved the problem. (See me applause?). Perfect. Thank you.

To Majsalaz4: As you described your problem seemed to be the same as mine. So try to install that update... maybe it'll work for you, too.

I am having the same problem as the others. I have the Skype app on my Samsung Galaxy S6 - the app is version 8.18.0.8, just re-installed today. I can log onto my computer but not on my phone. This happened a couple of months ago also and I had to reset my password again - and again it worked fine on my computer, but not on my mobile. I also cleared the data/cache on my phone to see if that would help but still can't login.

What is the exact error whenever you try to login from your android phone?

If you have other Skype accounts, can you try if you can using it?

Thanks Mark_N13.  The error says "Your account or password is incorrect. If you don't remember your password, reset it now." I have already reset it, as I mentioned. I tried to log out and back into my computer version just to make sure it's the correct password that I've been trying to use on my phone but the same password does log me into my computer Skype, but doesn't log me into the app for my Android.
