A blue circle near to my cursor

Hi,

Why a blue circle appears (for just a second) near to my cursor when I click to my .doc file;;;

Thank you !!!

Is it the "Wait" circle (animated) that replaced the egg-timer in earlier Windows versions?

Hi

As Suzanne says this sounds like the new animated wait (=working in background) mouse pointer - if so, this is not specific to Office, but the whole Windows 8.1 operating system.

If you want to change your mouse pointer scheme back to a more traditional one, please:

1. Press Windows Key + X on your keyboard.

2. Select Control Panel.

3. Select Mouse*.

4. Select Pointers tab.

5. Find a scheme that you like using the dropdown menu then select it.

6. Select OK.

*If you do not see Mouse after selecting Control Panel, you may need to change the view. In the top right corner of Control Panel where it says View by:  Category , click on Category and select either Small icons or Large icons from the dropdown menu

Yes is that circle which appears and dissappears ''instantly'' when I click (p.x. left-click) at my office .doc

Thank you for your time.

In my case, the new animated wait it appears only to Word ( which i use most of the times) when i have a ''left-click'' !!!

I try to change mouse pointer scheme but i think this is not the real ''cause'' of the problem.
