Screen Glitch after Sleep Mode

This thing recently started happening where when I wake my laptop up from sleep mode the screen has glitched and I can't click out of it or log in to my laptop because the mouse won't respond. I have to shut it down using the power button and restart it and each time I do, my laptop tells me I have 3 updates pending but when I check settings there are no available updates. My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 7000, not even a year old yet.

Hi,

A recent change in the configuration of your device can be one of the factors why this issue occurs. To help us determine the appropriate troubleshooting steps that can resolve your concern, we would like to ask the following questions:

  • What is the build and version of Windows that you’re using? To check, type winver in the Search box, select the resulting command and send us a screenshot of the information window.
  • Have you made any recent changes before you encountered this issue?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far to resolve your concern?

In the meantime, we recommend that you completely reset and restore all default power plans to default settings to make sure that the issue is not a cause of any missed configured settings. To do this, follow the steps below:

  1. In the Search box, type Command Prompt, right-click on the result and select Run as administrator.
  2. Copy and paste the below command into the Command Prompt and press Enter.
    powercfg –restoredefaultschemes
  3. Once done, restart your device to apply the changes.

We look forward to your response.

Hello,

I've had the same problem and what did the trick for me was uninstalling all GPU drivers, then restarting the pc

Hope this helps

Have a nice day

I ran command prompt and restarted my computer, but it is still doing the same thing. The issue started with my most recent update last month.
