Hi Antonis,
Have you tried the Online Repair? If not, you can firstly try the Online Repair to see the outcome.
If the Online Repair cannot fix the issue, we would suggest you post the issue in our Office 2016 & Excel forum which is a specific support channel for Office 2016 client related issues.
Thanks for your understanding.
Allan

Have tried every solution listed (repair, add-ins, etc.) and NONE resolve the issue. When Excel is an integral part of your work, rather difficult to get anything accomplished.
When will Microsoft FIX the issue?

i found the solution. Believe it or not you have to uninstall your printer driver... uninstall your printer and reinstall it. that should fix the problem. i use a dell printer so i'm not sure if it's a dell specific issue or what not.
just to be sure i downloaded a driver from dell directly.

Was hoping to post a "Thank you, Stanley," but unfortunately it did not work for me. Tired of wasting valuable time trying to fix something MicroSoft has obviously known about but done nothing to resolve.

sorry to hear it didnt work for you... try uninstalling all printer drivers, camera or scanners...
i your issue is the same as mine i believe it is a driver... go to your device manager find the drivers one by one and remove them one by one .. testing excel each time. for better result use one of the advance uninstalers...
