Minecraft keeps crashing my Xbox One X

Every time I try to start loading up a map or try to get past the title screen the game seems to crash my Xbox One X. I have no idea what it is causing this especially since my Xbox One X should be able to play the game easily but it is having trouble for some weird reason and shutting down.

Thanks for reaching out to Xbox forums support. 

If you're only having this issue with Minecraft and no other games I would suggest uninstalling / reinstalling Minecraft. You can manage your data for individual games through My games & apps on your Home screen. Here's how:

  1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide, and then select My games & apps.
  2. Highlight the game, press the Menu button on your controller, and then select Manage game & add-ons.
  3. In the menu on the left side of the screen, scroll down to Saved Data, then highlight the saved data for your gamertag on the right and press the A button on your controller.
  4. You'll be prompted to confirm deletion of this game save data:
    • Delete from console removes the local copy of this save. You can get it from the cloud the next time you play.
    • Delete everywhere removes your saved data from this console, the cloud, and all other consoles you play on.

it sounds like its possibly over heating, so be sure to keep the console well ventilated. it could also be from not getting enough power to the xbox, be sure you are plugged directly into the main wall outlet and not via extension lead, if you are already try another wall socket to see if the problem persists.

How long has this been happening? 

There seems to be an issue currently with the game, Mojang is aware of the issue and is working on getting it sorted

When I try to start my world it loads for a minute or two, black screens, and then quits minecraft and brings me back to the xbox home menu. I've tried dozens of times and have just now tried this and still nothing.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums for advice on how hopefully get your console to work this game as intended. I understand how this could be pretty disheartening. I suggest trying the steps outlined in our Xbox One Game Freeze Solution.

The game has just been updated and hasn’t fixed the problem. It still fully crashes my Xbox one x.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the reply. Is this the only game that is doing this? If so you will need to just keep uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Sounds like it is becoming corrupt when it is being installed.
