Get Started with Windows 11 and Windows 10

Technical Level : Basic

Summary
The following guide provides articles you can use to get up to speed with the new features and functions included in Windows 10. I have been evaluating Windows 10 since October 1st 2014 and I have managed to the see the operating system go through its ups and downs during that time. The experience has afforded me the ability to have an intimate experience with this platform.  For the average user who probably just started learning about Windows 10 a couple months ago, a few days ago or even a few months from now, these Getting Started guides should help you hit the ground running. Don't worry, I will continually update this wiki-article with new content. Please don't hesitate to share your feedback in the comments.

This looks good, but how do I print the whole thing? Or, is there a separate Windows 10 User Guide available for downloading and printing?

I have tried to uninstall bing and Cortana in various ways; through the uninstall program in Win10 (id doesn't show up on the list of programs), using an external uninstall program (ditto), and by turning it off in settings (there is no way to shut them off in settings, in spite of what many websites recommend).  I loathe bing.  How do I get rid of it once and for all? Not just turn it off but delete it from the computer?

It is my experience with Microsoft programs that applications included within a program, cannot be removed or deleted from the program and attempting to do so will create unusable software with regard to the parent program.  In other words, if you attempt to delete what you said and actually manage to delete it, you will not be able to use Windows 10.

Best direction is to ignore the two apps within Windows 10 and there are ways within Windows 10 that I believe you can set so they  will not appear unless you actually open them separately.  Hope that helps.

Let me say this, you did not say if you are using IE or Edge as your browser but in either case in "Settings" within either browser, you can set where you want the browser to go when you open it, i.e., a blank page, or to Google or wherever.  I am a bit surprised by you not wanting to use Bing as I began using it shortly after introduction and much prefer it over anything else.  Then again, if we all liked the same thing, we all would be driving white cars and living in houses that look alike and etc.  So, . . .

In my system, I very seldom ever use Cortina.  It just doesn't do much for me and normally will direct me to the web when I instead wish to look with in my own system.  So, I just totally ignore it.  IF I want to see something in my system, I use File Explorer and have it set to show everything including hidden files and folders.

Again, I hope this helps you.

It is sad that Windows 10 is so sophisticated but it cannot do simple things. For example, why am I struggling to get started on typing a simple document?

This was supposed to be user friendly, but you know it is not. Not every one is computer savy.  I have 2 of my computers with Windows, and it's a pissing contest trying to word processing something. Now, I am stuck.

It was never supposed to be so, right?
