Can someone help me with that please...

Hi,

This issue may occur if the driver update is not getting downloaded properly.

Let’s try the following steps and check.

Method 1:

You may try installing the latest version of printer drivers from Canon website and check.

Method 2:

If the printer is working fine and updates keep repeating, then you may also try to disable/ not to select optional updates.

Let’s try the following steps and check if it helps.

a. Press Windows key + Q.

b. Type This PC and right click on the same to select Properties.

c. Click on Advanced settings and select the Hardware Tab.

d. Select Driver Installation settings.

e. Select “No, let me choose what to do” and “Never install driver software from Windows Updates”.

d. Click on Save changes.

Hope the information helps. Let us know if you need further assistance with Windows related issues. We will be happy to help.

Hi Jim,

I would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused.

Here in this scenario, I suggest you to hide the update that is getting offered after installing the update. Refer to the section "I keep offering an update from Windows that I don't want or already removed" in the following Microsoft Help article.

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/troubleshoot-problems-installing-updates#1TC=windows-8

Note: The steps apply to Windows 8 as well.

Please reply with the status of the issue so that we can help you better.

MX890 series Mini Master Setup (Windows 8.1/8.1 x64/8/8 x64/7/7 x64/Vista/Vista64/XP) 10/01/13 23.23 MB
This file contains the Setup application, MP Drivers and IJ Network Tool necessary for setting your printer up on a network.

so if the last update was 10/01/13 and its 04/07/16 then why am I getting an update for it?
