I have my accounting software in an old computer running XP.
That comp has recently crashed, and I tried to load my accounting software into a newer laptop but it is not compatible.
Can I buy a new laptop and replace its current OS with XP?
Hi ,
You can try the compatibility mode and choose Windows XP SP3 from the menu .
look in the following example https://www.tenforums.com/software-apps/48553-windows-10-does-not-have-windows-xp-sp3-compatibility-mode.html
Most programs that were created for earlier versions of Windows will work in the most recent version of Windows 10

The chances are no you can't do that.
1. Windows XP support ended in 2014.
2. New laptop manufacturers normally do not support or supply XP Drivers for the laptop's hardware to run XP.
