Subscriptions

Hello everyone. I bought a 12-month gold subscription. I would like to know if i upgrade my subscription by buying one month of Ultimate, will that upgrade my Gold to Ultimate for a whole year? Thanks in advance.

Hi Vasilis23GR,

As per the GamePass FAQ, any existing subscriptions like Live Gold will be updated to Ultimate for up to 36 months.

So, your 12 month Xbox Live Gold will automatically update to GamePass Ultimate and you will not loose any time.

Once your account has been upgraded to Ultimate, any GamePass or Live Gold added will be subject to being converted and do check out the conversion rates on the FAQ above so you are aware. :-)

If you have never had game pass before, and currently have 12 months gold membership, if you buy 1 month of game pass ultimate you will actually end up with 13 months of game pass ultimate membership.

This only works once and can work for a total of 36 months so it might be worth your money to buy another year or two of gold before you upgrade

I have already upgraded once. So that means that i won't get a total of 13 months of Ultimate?

Hey there Vasilis23GR,

Thanks for reaching out the Forums for clarity on this matter. I can totally see how the wording there could be confusing, but yeah, essentially, if you had already upgraded back in the day you would be getting the converted rate. Therefore, you would not be getting those 13 months of Ultimate.

No your gold will be converted to game pass according to price . So you would get a conversion of 4 to 5 months . Gamepass or bust
