Updating to Windows 10 Version 2004/Conexant Drivers

So what do people with computers with Conexant drivers do? Windows Update says update drivers but there are none acceptable, it also says Microsoft is working on a fix ? So what do we do? If there are compatible drivers for devices using Conexant Audio where are they, how do we get them and install or replace them (I have tried everything to no avail). When does MS expect a fix ? Are persons with Conexant audio drivers computers at end of life ? Does anybody care ?

I would expect that Microsoft will fix the problem so that 2004 will install without needing to update those drivers or will supply any updated drivers.
Currently no date is known on any of the fixes.

Thanks Time Lady.  At least I have some hope and can quit searching the web for "non-existent" drivers !!!

I am hoping you are right but until it happens and it solves the block on further Windows 10 version updating, I will have to consider it a speculation of hope, certainly not a resolution, at least not yet...the wait continues, good luck techs.  By leaving it open perhaps another user will find a solution and post it.

                       Thanks... again

We’re just a user-to-user forum so Microsoft will not reply here.
Only Microsoft can fix the problem.

STILL WAITING & HOPING MICROSOFT...

Apparently MS has been working on this (and other) problems with Version 2004 since April 22nd,no luck so far on the Conexant driver problems but some on other things..now that Toshiba and Dynabook are getting out of laptop business I hope MS doesn't just flush this problem...they have said they will be releasing updated drivers to solve this problem, assuming is becomes doable or worth doing...hang in there folks don't throw your laptops out yet or switch to Linux...there is still hope according to some...

and another month and Patch Tuesday rolls by with no resolution...

Annoying I don't even use my drivers & conexant chipset - I have a Bluetooth headset and a docking station which does sound over the USB link. I tried the obvious of disabling the Conexant device and then removing it but I don;t know if the update program is actually checking or has just left a flag saying "not compatible".
What bothers me is did synoptics just buy the assets, code libraries etc. then layoff the engineers who support old sound cards they no longer sell? ie.. do they have staff who can fix the driver?

And what bothers me more as an omen is that MS and Synaptic are both companies with billions of dollars - if they had any real desire to fix it this at all (or quickly) don't you think they could do better than almost 3 months?
