Having a problem starting wow.dll

Step 2: Lets’ delete the content from “Temp” folder, you can use disk cleanup for it.

Or else, follow these steps to clear the temp folders and check if it helps, here are the steps:

a.       Click Start, type %temp% in the search box and hit Enter.

b.      Press Ctrl key + A, that will select all the contents and delete it.

Once you clear this, follow these steps:

a.       Click Start, click on Computer.

b.      Open C drive, go to Temp folder and delete all the contents and check if it helps.

From the issue description, it looks like you are you are receiving error message saying “There was a problem starting C:\users\owner\AppData\local\Temp\sywecq\sbypqnr\wow.dll. A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed” when right-click on any file/folder in the Windows explorer.

To help you suggest steps to resolve the issue, I would appreciate if you could answer the following question:

Have you made any changes on the computer prior to the issue?

Wow.dll is a library file that is responsible for implementing main parasite functions and running its destructive payload. The wow.dll file cannot run by itself and therefore needs to be loaded with the help of some executable files. However, certain parasite reconfigures the operating system or installs wow.dll as a plugin, so that the system or certain applications automatically load it on startup.

The wow.dll file is installed and used by Wowcraft.e.

In most cases wow.dll is responsible for all the harmful actions the pest takes. Removing this file will immediately terminate the parasite or partially disable it. That is why the wow.dll file must be manually deleted. If you cannot erase it, consider using recommended spyware removers, which will get rid of wow.dll and associated parasites for you.

In some cases a presence of wow.dll does not mean that your system is infected. The file may actually belong to some fully legitimate applications and therefore must stay intact. If you are in doubt, please scan the wow.dll file using you regular spyware remover or antivirus program.
