Update for windows 10 error code.

When I tried to update my windows 10, I got an error code 0x80072742.
Run the Windows update Troubleshooter and check if it helps:
Type troubleshooting in Windows Start Search box
Click Troubleshooting
Under System and Security, click Fix problems with Windows Updates.

The most reliable method to install 1709 is manual (Steps credit - Andre Da Costa, MVP)

1. If you choose not to upgrade, you can block it

Hello,
Try resetting Windows updates using an automatic script. See:

Make sure you run the script as an administrator.
