BSOD Error code: System Service Exception

Hello,

I've recently had a BSOD with the System_Service_Exception stop code.

I've since run a MalwareBytes scan to check for viruses or malware (nothing found) and used the System File Checker tool in PowerShell as well (no discrepancies there either).

I've attached the minidump and system information files here as well. Here are the links:

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Hi,

The error may be related to the Intel storage controller.

Try updating the Intel storage controller to the following which may be the latest for the chipset:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26759/Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-Intel-RST-User-Interface-and-Driver

As a general precaution create a System Restore Point beforehand.

Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Generally, a BSOD error occurs due to an outdated driver, hardware or software failure. I have analyzed the dump files that you have shared and found that ntkrnlmp.exe file is causing the system to crash.

I suggest you to try updating the Intel drivers installed on the computer. You can update the Intel drivers by installing the Intel Driver & Support assistant. This will update the drivers that are not up to date.

You can also refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the article Troubleshoot blue screen errors

Please reply with the status of the issue, we will be glad to help you further.
