Driver power state failure on shut down

Ok nearing wits end with this. I have posted to the Lenovo support forums and didn't receive a reply. I have been having a problem with my Lenovo G550 with blue screens on shut down. Every so often when I shut down, it just stays on the "Shutting down" screen, then after about 15 minutes or so, it will give a blue screen saying that a "Driver Power State failure" had occurred.

Problem signature:

  Problem Event Name:                        BlueScreen

  OS Version:                                          6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3

  Locale ID:                                             1033

Additional information about the problem:

  BCCode:                                               9f

  OS Version:                                          6_1_7601

  Service Pack:                                       1_0

  Product:                                               768_1

Files that help describe the problem:

  C:\Users\MacLeod\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-46628-0.sysdata.xml

I did save the .dmp file, but the sysdata.xml file since it's a temp file, has already been cleared. I don't know how to attach the .dmp file on here.

I have used the Lenovo system update and ran their memory tester, but it's still something is not working.

And the blue screen only happens on shut down.

Help!!
Answer
Answer

The minidump showed a DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE (9f) stop error referencing the usbhub.sys and the usbuhci.sys:

BUCKET_ID:  0x9F_3_usbhub_IMAGE_usbuhci.sys

That would ten to indicate a problem related to USB.

When did this problem start and did the start of the problem coincide woth amy hardware or software change?

The problem may be related to driver(s) for a webcam.

Besides the built-in webcam do you have a Logitech webcam attached?

Is so. which one?
