Hi sheraya,

I understand that you want to know the email address of the message without opening them. I’ll be happy to assist you on this.

You need to open an email for you see the where it came from. I believe it’s safe, just make sure you do not click on any links provided within the said email nor reply to it. But if you’re not that comfortable opening an email you believed suspicious, here’s what you can do.

You can view where it came from by viewing the message source.
  1. Right click the email in your inbox. It will be selected by will not open it.
  2. On the drop down menu, click View message source.
  3. It will open a new tab or window showing text. You can see the origination email address within this page, after From and/ or Originating-Email.

Mark the email as junk. The said email will be moved to your Junk folder and all incoming emails from the said email address will be automatically moved to junk.

Mark the email as phishing. The email will be deleted from your inbox and will be reported for proper action.
