Windows 10 Calendar: cannot see some events

I have 2 issues:

1. I recently moved from windows 7 to windows 10 and at first all the events in my livemail calendar were transferred automatically to the Windows 10 calendar. However I have noticed recently that when I add an event to the livemail calendar it is not appearing in the windows 10 calendar and vice versa.

Are these 2 calendars no longer synced?

2. When I add more than 3 events to a particular date in my Windows 10 calendar I can only see a maximum of 3 events. I cannot see the 4th event even if I open "Day" I can only see 3 events. If I delete one of the 3 events I can then see the 4th event but not otherwise. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

Hello,

I request you to try the methods below:

  1. Right click on Start menu and select Control Panel.
  2. Now open Programs and features.
  3. Select Windows Essentials and click on Repair.

I tried both methods you suggested however method 1 found no problems and method 2 did not fix the problem.

Since moving from Windows 7 to Windows 10 on June 30, 2016 as instructed by Microsoft I have continued to use Livemail for sending and receiving emails. I use Livemail instead of Windows 10 Mail app because when I use Windows 10 Mail App emails in one of my email accounts keep disappearing from the server. (About half an hour after they arrive)

  • Can you please tell me whether I will be able to continue to use Livemail and if so for how long?
  • Also, since June 30 2016 does Windows 10 Mail App not sync with Windows Livemail?

Thank you.

Hello,

I would like to inform that you can use the Live mail. And there is no such specified time till it can be used.

If you have added your Outlook.com account in Live mail, then you might experience some sync issues.

I hope this helps you. If you have any further queries, feel free to contact us. We will be happy to help you.

Thank you.

Below is part of the email I received from Microsoft earlier this year.

I have highlighted the relevant parts. It states that when account upgrades start at end of June I will no longer be able to receive email sent to my Outlook.com account in windows live Mail 2012. This is not consistent with the advice your have provided above.

Can you please clarify the position.

Will I or won't I be able to continue using WIndows Livemail for the foreseeable future?

Thank you.

It appears that you are currently using Windows Live Mail 2012 to connect to your Out‍look‍.‍com account. Windows Live Mail 2012 does not support the synchronization technologies used by the new Outl‍ook‍.‍com. When account upgrades begin at the end of June, you will no longer be able to receive email sent to your Out‍look‍.‍com account in Windows Live Mail 2012. Rest assured, you can always access your email by logging into Out‍look‍.‍com from any web browser, and you will continue to have access to all your data that is currently in Windows Live Mail 2012.

As advised in an earlier email after trying both of your suggestions I am still only seeing a maximum of 3 "events" in my calendar, including when I open "Day" only.

Can you please advise

To illustrate my problem with Mail calendar only showing a maximum of 3 events:

In the screenshot below you can see that I have saved 4 test events in the Mail calendar.

You can see test events 1, 2 and 3 displayed in the calendar but not test 4 event.

In order to see test 4 event I have to put my cursor below test 3 event. Only then will I see test 4 (a brief summary of it).

I am unable to send you a print screen of what happens when I put my cursor beneath Test event 3 because it disappears when I lift my cursor try to do a Screenshot.

I can get a shot of the Test 4 event using PrtScn but when I try to copy this into this email it does not copy. All I see is an empty square (see below).

If you want me to send you a screen shot of event 4 appearing when cursor is placed beneath event 3 please tell me how I can get it to you as it is not possible using screen shot procedure. How can I send a PrtScn copy to you?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Apologies: you cannot see that I have saved 4 test events in my calendar. You can only see 3 test events even though I in fact have saved 4 test events.

The Calendar App only show 3 "All Day" events each time because the area to show those events is limited and you cannot adjust the size (poor UI design). Anyway, you can move your mouse there and use the middle button to scroll up and down to check the whole event lists.
