About a month ago I tried to buy an Xbox Music Pass for my 10 year-old daughter. There was a problem with the adult confirmations that prevented a purchase. While on the phone with tech support, I changed the birthdate of my daughter to make her appear to be an adult. This allowed me to purchase the music pass.
I then tried to change the birthdate of my daughter back to her correct date. I could change it to any date that indicated she was an adult, but when I tried to set it to the correct date, I received a message telling me that I could not set 'my' birthdate to that of a child.
I've spoken to tech support numerous times, but they can't seem to grasp the problem. They frequently tell me that it's impossible to change the birthdate at all or get confused and thing that I'm talking about an Xbox gamer tag.
I have a 10 year-old who's accounts are no longer properly configured as a child, and I fear that she's not being protected.
