Unrecoverable boot loop after installing Build 10041

To understand the issue better, let me know what is the make and model of the computer?  

Try the steps listed here:

Method 1:
I suggest you to disconnect all the external devices and check if that helps.

Method 2:
If the issue persists, I suggest you to hard restart the computer and see if it helps.

Method 3:
If that does not help, I suggest you to allow the system to fail the boot process three times. That will give Automatic Repair options, using them perform a startup repair and check if it helps.

Method 4:
If you can boot to desktop, I suggest you to disable the option of installing drivers through Windows Update which is available in Advanced System settings. Follow these steps:

1. Right-click on This PC and click on Properties.
2. Click on Advanced System Settings in the left pane.
3. Click on Hardware Tab.   
4. Click on Device Installation settings.
5. Choose the option “No, let me choose what to do”.
6. Choose the option “Never install driver software from Windows Update”.
7. Make sure to put check mark for the option “Automatically get the device app and info provided by your device manufacturer”.

You don't get it. The bad driver installs before even going through the configuration settings after install. There is no recovery option available and it will reboot indefinitely. If it went to recovery mode after 3 failed boots then it wouldn't be a problem. All I get when I turn the machine on is a neverending loop of HP logo, windows logo, and then a black screen.

If the computer is custom build, please provide hardware details (for example graphics card manufacturer)?

It's an HP Envy 14-1000 with switchable first-gen Intel and radeon 5650 graphics. There are numerous threads about this issue that has existed since 8.1 and we were told it would be fixed in the next build by not forcing driver updates. Not only did you fail to do that, you made it worse by installing them even earlier in the upgrade process and leaving me with no way to recover.

I'm in the same state after the update last night. Here's my system specs (custom build). I'm also interested in any workarounds you might suggest.

I've had exactly the same issue as you on a HP Touchsmart TM2.

I've had to side load Linux (from USB) and flash the bios to unlock discreet graphics setting, disable the discreet chip in the bios then load the new WinTP build again.

Method 3:
If that does not help, I suggest you to Press F8 When booting That will give Repair options, using them perform a startup repair and check if it helps.

Original Title: Unrecoverable boot loop

I have had issues on the last several tech preview builds as a result of windows update forcing incompatible drivers for my Intel/AMD gpu, but despite being told it would be resolved, 10041 has now made it worse than ever. It is now bootlooping before even going into the OOBE setup dialogue which means the recovery environment is not even accessible to get to safe mode and remove the bad driver. This was supposed to be fixed and now I will have to completely wipe my machine because it is incapable of booting.

Hi, it appears I am now in the same trouble. 

Updated to 10041 and mostly OK. Left the pc running and came back later to a black screen on both monitors. One partially successful attempt to Safe Mode,  but then I had "WDF Violation" and I am now back to blank screens and reboots with no resolution. 

I have removed all USB inputs and still no success.  I had set the pc into High Power mode previously so nothing should have instigated Sleep or Hibernation.

Is there a 10041 dvd iso?

HP Z820 computer, Nvidia Quadro graphics card, 32GB Ram, SSD Boot drive with WD reds as storage. Samsung & HP monitors, one by HDMI & one by DVI.
