Try the steps listed here:
Method 1:
I suggest you to disconnect all the external devices and check if that helps.
Method 2:
If the issue persists, I suggest you to hard restart the computer and see if it helps.
Method 3:
If that does not help, I suggest you to allow the system to fail the boot process three times. That will give Automatic Repair options, using them perform a startup repair and check if it helps.
Method 4:
If you can boot to desktop, I suggest you to disable the option of installing drivers through Windows Update which is available in Advanced System settings. Follow these steps:
- Right-click on This PC and click on
Properties.
- Click on Advanced System Settings in the left pane.
- Click on Hardware Tab.
- Click on Device Installation settings.
- Choose the option “No, let me choose what to do”.
- Choose the option “Never install driver software from Windows Update”.
- Make sure to put check mark for the option “Automatically get the device app and info provided by your device manufacturer”.
