Make sure any external devices are disconnected while installing Windows.

By chance do you have the boot order set to the DVD?

Setup/Settings (BIOS/CMOS) often F2 as you boot - set the boot order to the hard drive.

Also BIOS issues can cause this error.

If you just replaced the drive then check the cabling and contacts on both ends.

The problem could be the hard drive or even the hard drive controller.
