Hosts entry file empty

Hello everyone,

I have some stuff I have to do for school and one of the things was to block facebook in the hosts  file (C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc). I did find the file but it was just empty and I never did anything with it. Is there some way to restore it or did I do something wrong (just opened it with notepad).
