My keyboard is typing letters instead of numbers?

My laptop's keyboard is typing letters instead of numbers. Before this happened, I was cleaning the keyboard with a toothpick, and when I clicked on Google Chrome, I typed in face and then I tried typing in book, but then it came out, : faceb662 and at first, I thought I was using the numbers at the top but I wasn't.

Umm, here is the info on my laptop:
Windows Vista TM Home Premium
Service Pack 2

Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
Model: HP Pavilion dv4 Network PC

Please help! T-T

You have activated your numlock key, your numlock light should be on. Hold your "fn + numlk" keys at the same time to unlock.
