How to remove pending updates in windows 7

I am having windows 7 and have about 10 recommended updates,but when i try to install them it errors out. I mean window restarts automatically as they were tried for installation. when automatic restart is turned off, it errors out showing blue screen.

I am thinking of clear these pending updates as of now from system and try to check with updates again. this might bring in fresh updates based on current window status.

Latest update by me was uninstall of microsoft security essentials so that licenced version of Mcafee can be installed.

Please help.

·          What is the bluescreen error you receive?

·          What is the error message you receive when you install the updates?

Step 1: Follow the steps under “Method 11” from the article mentioned below:

“Unable to install updates in Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2”: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2509997

Step 2: Run the Windows Update troubleshooter.
