Can't log in to my Router via MS Edge. 192.168.1.1 (Wifi Working)

I  have a brand new laptop running Windows 10. My  Wifi connection works. However, I cannot log in to my router (192.168.1.1). I am using MS Edge.
Hi Jonathan

A recent update has introduced this bug into Edge, a lot of users are reporting this error . . .

Hopefully Microsoft will patch this bug ni the near future . ..

In the meantime, using another browser, you should be able to log into your router - Click your Start Button, then just type ie and hit Enter, that will open Internet Explorer . .

I've never been able to do that with Microsoft Edge, and I've had Windows 10 from the beginning. No problem for Google Chrome.

A few times I've succeeded by adding https:// before the address. But usually, I just use Chrome, which is my default browser anyway.

I'm not savvy enough to know why Microsoft Edge can't do this. Perhaps someone here knows of a way to make it happen.
