Surface Book 2 will not share screen in Google Meeting

Greetings:

I am unable to "share" my surface book 2 screen when I am logged into a Google Meeting.  A dialog appears which has two button, "share" and "cancel" but the "share" button is grayed-out.  A friend suggested that the problem may be with Edge and that I should try Google Chrome, which I did but my attempt to share my surface book 2 screen produced the same dialog with the same grayed-out "share" button.

I am very steamed about this.  If I cannot resolve this problem I will be forced to revert to a $70 Wacom tablet and a PC vs getting use out of my $1200 Surface Book 2.

I am open to any suggestions.

Regards,

Karl in PA
