Syncing Past Events
When you sync the iPhone's Calendar with other calendars, past events are not uploaded to the iPhone if you have not specified that they should be. You can specify how far back the iPhone should sync events in the iPhone's Settings. After selecting "Mail, Contacts, Calendars," scroll down to the Calendar section, and then select "Sync." This gives you the options for syncing all past events, ranging from two weeks to six months or all past events.

Hi Chaps
Thank you for your response! However, it did not quite address my problem. I am using the Outlook apps, not the Apple calendars. While I see all entries in Outlook on web and the Outlook app on my Mac, even months back, the Outlook calendar on my iPhone and my iPad only go 3 months back.
There's a setting for the Apple calendar for the time range, but there does not seem to be one in the Outlook app, or maybe I have not found it yet...

Thank you, Chaps. I did all the steps up until Reset Account on my iPhone. I saw an empty calendar at first, then all entries kept returning, but going back they stop at exactly 8th of April. Nothing further back. Any further idea?
I hesitate doing the last steps on that list (deleting and re-adding the account) because I did this on my iPad and now I see the mails, but I get an error message that the account was not linked to a calendar. I have asked my Exchange provider, something
is wrong with the settings, I think I had the settings for an IMAP account but not for an Exchange account.

It's a private Exchange account from an IT service provider.
It's really odd that everything works on Outlook on the web and in the Outlook app on the Mac, but not on the apps on my iOS devices...
Here's a screen shot, you can see that the first entry is on April 8th. But I know that I have earlier entries...

Thank you Chaps, but these are the standard installation instructions of Outlook on an iOS device, there's nothing about setting a date range for calendars in there.
I give up, I guess that's just a limitation of my Exchange hosting provider. I will have to use my Mac to check dates further back.
I should soon be migrated to O365, I hope that problem will be solved with this version.
