Win10 v.2004 only creating a 50mb System Reserved Partition is this correct ?

Hello Microsoft team,  I recently noticed the USB install of Win10 v.2004 is now only creating a 50mb partition.  Is this correct ?

I have no problem extending the partition if needed, but was unsure if this was now the correct size or do I need to extend it to 500mb ?

Please advise

Thanks

BoB

It has been confirmed that is the current procedure.  I suggest you get your question/comment back in the feedback hub.  I have no idea why Microsoft made such a change... but the feedback hub is the best place for them to see your question..

Hi,
I'm Independent Advisor not Microsoft employee or support person. But I'm in contact with Windows developers since 1995 - as a one of the best Windows beta-testers till 2009 when program was closed, as an MVP in 2005-2017 including Windows System & Performance nomination. So I have deep enough Windows knowledge and you may trust me. It's a pleasure for me to help others and I'll do all my best to help you.

I did clean 2004 installation to empty (cleaned from diskpart) drive two days ago. System reserved partition is 500Mb. Seems you had some fault and files for recovery boot are placed to main partition.
Can you show Disk management window?

I did a clean install recently and my System Reserved Partition is 517 MB.

Regardless, you really should not try to change your System Reserved partition - that could make it unusable.

Besides, if your computer is out of warranty, you don't really need a System Reserved Partition. Instead, make image backups. They're much better than a System Reserved Partition.
