Installing win7 from usb

Hi.  Is anyone out there familiar with Linex?  I am trying to install win7 from usb but 'boot from usb' is not an option.  Tried PLOP but got error message: plpa20!  Now I'm trying Knoppix but don't know what to do.  Yes, I contacted Knoppix.  No answer yet.  TYVM.

Did you try installing from a DVD disc?

I dont have a dvd player on this pewter.  I've tried breaking the files down with file splitter which worked very well.  Then I tried to use imgburn for multiple cds.  It recorded the first cd with no problem but subsequent files were deeming 'invalid or wrong format'.  Tried CDburner XP.  Recorded but wont boot.  Hence the usb.  Gonna get a ide to usb converter, hook it up to a working pewter then go from there.  2 weeks now I've been playing with this.  It's all my fault.  When XP was installed I was able to create a new partition & install win7from usb.  Then I got this bright idea to eliminate the partitions to give the win7 partition more space.  WRONG!!  Screwed up everything.
