I have windows 7 english version. It cannot display my Chinese filenames. What should i do

I have the same problem. Chinese characters were showing well, and I found out that suddenly chinese characters do not dislay anymore. Maybe due to an update ?

Also in C:\Windows\fonts\ the Ming Liu fonts are now hidden, though I don't know if they were before the problem happened.

EDIT : right clicking on the Ming Liu fonts in C:\Windows\fonts and choosing "Show" or "Display" (or whatever word is in your locale) then restarting my computer solved the problem, chinese filenames are showing correctly again.

As long as you have installed the Enterprise or Ultimate version of Windows 7 you can download a MUI (Multilingual User Interface Pack) from Windows Update. To do this:

·         Click the Start orb

·         Search Windows Update in the search box

·         Click Check for updates

·         Click Select optional updates

·         Select the MUI that you want

·         Click OK

·         Click Install updates
