Edge Shortcut Icon on Taskbar has a small silhouette shadow

Hi,

In the last few days I have discovered that my Edge Shortcut Icon on my Taskbar has a shadow silhouette which seems to look like the upper portion of a person's body.  It is located towards the bottom of the Icon on the left side.

I have been using the Edge browser since early in January  but I don't remember ever seeing this shadow silhouette before.

I am running Windows 10 Home on a HP Touchscreen 23.8" Full HD All-In-One Desktop.

Any ideas?

The little overlay is a miniature of the profile's display image. If you have more than one profile configured in Edge, each taskbar icon will have the overlay to help you distinguish between profiles. Here I have pages on two different profiles open:

did not know i had 2 profiles. how do i find the other profile ???

Click on the profile picture in Edge's top right-hand corner to see additional browser profiles (listed between the horizontal lines):

Click on one to see what happens. With the 'unknown' profile open, the Your profile page (accessed by clicking the Manage profile settings link shown in the screenshot) will include an option on its ellipsis menu to Remove the profile.

Many users find it helpful to have separate profiles for different purposes, e.g. work and personal stuff.

Is it possible to remove the miniature of the profile's display image , so just the Edge taskbar icon appears?  How would you take the little gray miniature off the Edge icon ?

Except when This happens. 
Profiles are nice, and suddenly you have this little pictures in your task manager which look horrendous. 
And then you can't login to a Microsoft site, UNLESS you use your browser's profile account.  

#MicrosoftTrademarkAllOver.  

P.S.  Sorry for the rant.
