Windows Update error 0x800f0984

Hello,

I'm unable to install updates, since trying to do this ends with error 0x800f0984

Hello kris,

the Error Code 0x800f0984 means

PSFX_E_MATCHING_BINARY_MISSING(Matching component directory exist but binary missing).

The quickest and best way to fix the error is to perform an Inplace upgrade/Repair installation.

Have you installed a 3rd party Antivirus and/or Firewall Program and/or Tuning Tools? When yes, please remove this. Please use the removal tool of the respective manufacturer of the antivirus or firewall program also. A list can be found at the link below.

After that starts a Windows Repair Installation.
