Microsoft Exchange Server for Microsoft Outlook 2013

Good day Microsoft community,

I had two accounts on my Microsoft outlook 2013 account.  One was old and not used except for my x-box.  I did not want that one to be on my computer any more but in order for me to remove it I needed to remove both the one that I wanted to keep and the old outdated one.  When I did this I was not able to log back into the account that I wanted.  I was prompted to type in the Microsoft Exchange Server and my mailbox name.  My mailbox was pre-generated for me but the Microsoft Exchange Server was left blank.  I need to know what the Microsoft Exchange Server is so I may have access to my main email once again on the Microsoft Office 2013 app.

Hi Pioneer,
Is the second address- the one you want to add - in the Outlook.com domain (includes hotmail, live, msn)?

Auto account setup needs to set exchange accounts up - you can't set it up manually.

Good day Diane, 

The second email is what I am trying to access on my desktop.

That would be kind of weird that I cannot set it up the exchange server manually when it is giving me the option to do so.  Why would Microsoft make a feature that the user is not able to perform?  If that truly is the case then maybe doing the auto account setup is the way to go. 

How do I start the auto account setup if I already have the account setup, minus that exchange server prompt?

If its an outlook.com, each account uses a unique "server" name (its actually an HTTPS url). Auto account setup needs to get the url using auto discovery - you want, you can try using outlook.office365.com.

If its not at outlook.com (or office 365), you'd need yo ask your email admin for the server name.

Okie dokie Diane,

I am not using a 365 Microsoft account but I am using an @outlook.com.  I called my admin and they said they cannot help unless I buy Office 365, which I am not willing to do, because I have been using this for years without problems.  Then that person directed me here to ask the question that I highlighted in bold.  

I do appreciate your response and the new knowledge bestowed upon me.

You need to use auto account set up to set up Outlook.com accounts.

Honestly, buying office 365 isn't necessary.

Thank you for letting me know that buying Office 365 is not necessary.  

After searching all over the web and within the Microsoft Office 2013 app; I have determined it difficult to find the auto account set up option.  

I have used my email for the last 2 or 3 years and never needed the information below.  I hope the image below helps anyone solve this issue for me. 

Below the words Microsoft Exchange Server is where the information I am missing is needed to be placed in order to use my email on the Microsoft Office 2013 App.
