Xbox Live Cloud Storage Service

I've been hearing alot of good things about Microsoft's XBL cloud storage service where you can access your gamertag and profile information easily.

But I was wondering will this make transferring from a quasi broken (dead dvd drive)system to a new console easier than if I were to use the transfer cables or whatever it is they force you to do (which sounds like a headache to me)?

What other advantages will there be with the cloud service?

It just pretty much makes your saves available everywhere as well as getting rid of GamerTag recovery. So, I wouls assume you would not need the transfer cables since all your saves are in the cloud.

Cable transfer is really easy. Even easier with the new S models

Or you can use a USB flash drive.

Anyway I think it will be a very good feature. You won't need to carry your game saves around and you will always have a copy in case one of them becomes corrupt.
