Since I detest burst weapons I'll have to go with the 74u. I prefer the Mac11, Enfield and AK-47 over both of your examples though.

ak74u is an ok weapon, not sure why people think its so great.

m16 is the better weapon

74 with rapid fire for medium and close firefights and the M16 for sitting back behind cover and defending, utilizing longer to medium engagements.

The AK-74u is probably the better one...

But the M16 looks way cooler, especially with the grenade launcher; sole reason why it's my main weapon.
