Xbox wont download game updates

when try to download a game update starts downloading then gives error code 3CD6-0000-D080-0200-8007-0570 anyone help?

Make sure you have enough space on your drive for the update, and maybe make sure there are no corrupted files too. Also, you could try clearing your system cache. If none of that works, then report back! (:

I'd start by clearing the system cache (it's just updates plus other temporary files, nothing that's at all important to anyone) by:

1) Tap the silver Xbox Guide button on the controller, go right 2 clicks to Settings, pick System Settings.

2) Select Storage (or Memory).

3) Move over any hard drive or memory unit (not the Cloud) & press (Y) on your controller & pick Clear System Cache.

4) When asked to confirm storage device maintenance, choose Yes.

thanks for the replys tried clearing the system cache, no corrupt files and plenty of room on the hard drive still the same error code

OK, then visit http://xbox.com/update and perform Copy to a USB flash drive or Burn to a CD or DVD then apply the update to your console.

Its a game update issue not a dashboard update issue

support.xbox.com/.../update-games

If you are still having issues I would contact Microsoft Support via phone/email/live

i having the same problem on 3 different games all of which work perfectly on another xbox we have. Anymore ideas anyone thanks

Are you using the same gamertag on the other Xbox or a different one? Do you have another gamertag to try on this Xbox you are having the issue with?

I've got the same thing. I've cleared the cache, reformatted the hard drive. Then downloaded my profile and game but it still says it can't find and update game.
