Can't connect to XBL

When I try to log in, it just keeps saying sighning in forever, so i press B and it just says im not signed into XBL. So I tried to recover my account just for grins, and it gives me Xbox LIVE signup is currently unavailable.

Modem brand & model number: Linksys / wrt54g
Router brand & model number: D-Link/ DES-1105
Network Connection Type: Wireless/Wired: Wired

Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown: Unknown
Is NAT Type Open? Yes
Any Error Codes you encounter: Well only when I tried to recover my account, it said "
Xbox LIVE signup is currently unavailable. Please try again later."
What type of internet do you have? Cable/DSL/T1/3G? Cable
Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)? Comcast
When you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" what is the exact message shown on screen? Internet: Connected, Network: Connected Xbox Live: Connected, yet I can't sign in to XBL... -.-

What make and model modem do you have? You listed a router and a desktop switch. Can you connect if you go directly to the router, bypassing the switch altogether? Another thing to test is to connect directly to the modem and see if you can connect. If you can then the issue lies within your router/switch.
